The Beginning - Weekly Update #1

Hey there! Welcome to the Carnage War devlog page on itch.io. We thought of Carnage War over a year ago now, and we've come far. The game has not begun development, as of now we are still planning, it will take us a very long time to release Carnage War as we are a very small studio.

That being said, let's get into the roster. Currently, we PLAN on having at least over 20 playable fighters. Currently, we've shown our roster includes Jason Voorhees, and Michael Myers. But we have 2 new additions we'd like to announce... Freddy Krueger, and Leatherface!

We have over 4 characters planned for the roster of course, but we don't want to say too much as we haven't acquired the legal use of any of these characters yet. None of these characters are confirmed, yet if the game ever comes out (which we plan on it doing so) it will feature at least most of the 4 characters we just announced, and most likely some of the bigger names you could think of. Of course, a lot of horror IP's are legal nightmares to get, but we care enough about this project to at the very minimum, TRY to get these characters in our game. When Carnage War releases, expect updates for many years upon it's release (unless the game dies within 2 days, but let's hope that doesn't happen...)

If you're wondering on a release date, we're in incredibly early stages of the game and to say an exact accurate release date would be impossible, but we at least think the game would come out in 2027-2030. We know that's not only a big gap but also in a very long time, but we can't make the game within a year or something, or else the game would suck... Please be patient with us, and we hope you enjoy the project if/when it releases. Almost forgot to mention, we also plan on having a playable beta in around late 2025-2026, that will of course be free, I mean if we were to charge money for a beta that would be VERY scummy. Speaking of prices, we expect the game to release for either $49.99, $69.99, or $89.99. It really depends on how much we add to the game. The most likely price of those 3 is $69.99, as we wouldn't want to price this at $100 as we feel that is too much money for a fighting game. Although, we plan on making many gamemodes and more, so maybe it will be around the $100 mark because of those features. We also plan on much DLC of course, it wouldn't be a fighting game without it.

The game will of course be very graphic as well, 100% being rated M by ESRB, but that rating of course has not happened yet, and will happen in the future, but the game will be super bloody and definitely not for your 6 year old child Timmy.
